Between pregnancy hormones and late-night feedings, it’s safe to say I fell victim to a few targeted product ads over the last year. #influenced. However, this year also saw some purchases that, while not a life-or-death NEED, were definitely worth it in my household! Check out my favorite Amazon purchases over the last year that have become members of the family. (P.S. – Prime Days are coming up, so they may be on sale!)
If you like a latte followed by a half-pot of black coffee, this is your machine! It can do single serve (ie. K-pods), 12-cup carafe, specialty coffee, and hot water in a completely different dispenser. No grounds in the hot chocolate water? Win! While it’s not a super fancy and professional espresso machine, it can make speciality coffee (espresso) as well as black coffee. And the full pot (with delay brew feature) was a non-negotiable for my husband. This was one of my first bigger Amazon purchases over the last year. The DualBrew Pro went on a BIG sale last October, and I’m anticipating another big drop for Prime Days!
I’m calling this one my push gift, which I’d never heard of until this baby #4. (So I had some making up to do from the first three!) The Dreame H12 Pro Wet/Dry Vacuum is amazing for us. In my old age, I realized how much the constant crumbs and spilled everything bothers me. With four kids 5 and under, picking up the toys, sweeping/vacuuming the hard floors, filling up the mop bucket, and getting the floors cleaned was just not happening. Not enough hours in the day! So, after asking my husband a couple of times, he agreed and we splurged on this *literal* dreame. (See what I did there?) There is a huuuuge $170 coupon available RIGHT NOW, which I also took advantage of back when we purchased. It’s so fast and simple, and it has self-cleaning mode!
If you have young kids who can’t keep themselves afloat in deep water, then a kiddie pool is exactly what you need, right? Except out here in the middle of nowhere, USA, the wind is wicked and our dog’s paws can do some damage. We’ve tried the plastic wading pools, and we knew better than even attempting an inflatable pool. I randomly found this Intex rectangular-frame pool on Amazon.
The height of this pool is what sold us. It’s only 23″ tall, so all three of my bigs can be in it and be well above the waterline. But it’s deep enough they can still practice all of their swim moves from their lessons! (Always always ALWAYS supervised. It takes a second for an accident to happen, so even though this is a great size for my littles, Mom or Dad have constant eyes on the kiddos.) This pool was such a great price when we got it, and I anticipate the price going back down during Prime Days. Add this to your Amazon purchases so you can use it the rest of the summer!
After getting it all set up, we also purchased a solar pool cover because *gravel dust*, a hand skimmer to clear out the bugs, and a small filter pump to keep a farm pool as clean as it can get! I also purchased this non-chlorine pool shock, but we have yet to use this so I will update once we do!
Last fall, we spent at least one day a week at the pumpkin patch. I decided to take a page out of our friends’ book and find a solid backpack cooler for our family. I had found one I liked that would be able to fit all of our lunches, water bottles, and the diapers and wipes (because I’m not about to take more bags than I need anywhere we go!). When Amazon released their early Black Friday deals in October, this was the first thing to move from “Saved for Later” into my cart. This cooler has so much space, and has already proven itself worthy for summer excursions and our first zoo trip!
Nothing like having to replace a baby monitor on your fourth baby, eh? We had been using the Dr. Meter monitors because back in 2021, they were an affordable non-Wifi monitor that could expand up to 4 cameras. After we had major issues with the battery not working without being plugged in, we decided to find a replacement. We love the Heart of Tafiti monitor (especially because I am a Moana fan ;)). It’s a low EMF unit and doesn’t use Wifi. If you have young kids in multiple rooms, this is a must! You can also purchase additional cameras by themselves if you need to add on later.
So there you have it! My top 5 Amazon purchases as a busy mom trying to be a little less busy and complicated. Each of these products is something we use regularly, and they are part of our daily lives this summer. Make sure you take advantage of sales (we didn’t purchase any of these things full-price!), and I always appreciate you using the links from my blogs or Instagram if you are looking for recs or buying!
